Shelter Helper: We have volunteer shelter help needed when your schedule permits. Attendants are on hand to help maintain the cleanliness of the shelter for the public, assist with the care of the cats. Help is needed with cleaning the shelter and doing laundry.
Foster Care: Underage kittens and puppies, sometimes with mothers, sometimes orphans, are placed in foster homes until ready for adoption. Animals that are ill or injured or have special needs are also fostered. They may stay for a day or for several weeks. A foster home must be able to provide a safe, warm place isolated from other pets. The animals need lots of human contact to help develop confidence and social skills and some may require medication. In spring and summer additional foster homes are needed to care for the animals we rescue.
